ADCFFE is a design and interiors practice. Named after its founder and a term used in interior design for the selection and procurement of furniture. The work spans interior spaces, furniture, and limited-edition works.
The interest is not in designer furniture but in what falls outside it - anonymous pieces, works from the decorative arts tradition, things that sit somewhere between use and meaning. There is an ongoing curiosity about where function ends and something else begins.
Adrienne Colenburg is the founder and director of ADCFFE. She shapes the artistic vision across projects that range from thoughtfully designed interiors to single-edition works.
Before founding ADCFFE in 2021, Adrienne held design and leadership roles in the studios of internationally recognised architects. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from the New York School of Interior Design and currently serves as a visiting assistant professor at Pratt Institute's School of Design.
